Has anyone tried Vonage?

TWC installed my Digital Phone Service today. I have my modem & router in the basement so they swapped the modem, hooked  up a phone line to my phone junction box and so far the sound seems the same as before. The installer had problems getting it to connect. He tried another modem and was working on it when my wife told him the TV was out. He was surprized, made a phone call and they turned the service back on. I had to reboot my router and had internet service like before by I couldn't get any email. I called and was told that if they change modems your password has to change too. The installer should have given me the new password. The new modem is an ARRIS Touchstone Telephony Modem Model TM402P with lithium battery backup. I was a little concerned about power loss before but it's suppose to be good for up yo 20 hours if needed.
