The ongoing situation involving North Carolina retailer Prime TV apparently has taken another turn.

The Pilot newspaper in Southern Pines, N.C., reported this week that a group of retailers are suing Prime TV in Moore County District Court. The installers, which reside from South Carolina and Georgia to Riverside, Calif., and Central City, Colo., allege in the lawsuit the company owes them money, among other claims.

Richard "Trey" Yelverton, an attorney representing the defendants, said the claims are without merit. "Any allegations of fraud are completely unfounded," he told the newspaper.

As first reported by sister Web site SkyRETAILER.com (http://www.skyretailer.com), DirecTV ended its business relationship with Prime TV on March 29. DirecTV said Prime TV's contract was terminated because the company was not able to meet its standards for dealers, among other issues.

Because of the late nature of the story, further comment was not available from the involved companies.
