Directv waivers

I thought I would take a shot at getting the national networks. So I called Directv about getting waivers. It took about a month. By total surprise I got granted by all Green Bay stations. So now I get ABC,CBS,FOX,and NBC from New York and LA.  Plus CBSHD from both cities. Has anyone else tried this in the Green Bay or Milwaukee markets with success? I wish I would've tried this six years ago when I first got Directv.

I'm curious how you went about this.  What exactly did you request when you called DirectTV?

All you have to do is call Directv and tell them you're interested in the distant networks. Ask about waivers. They will automatically request  waivers from your local networks. You don't have to do anything else. It took about a month for me. I received a postcard letting me know I was granted. They had already switched on the networks before I received the card.
