Where/What new antenna?

With the warming weather, and the snow on the roof melting ... I am gathering data to raise my 3 element in the attic to above the roof and upgrade to something much better and more able to pull in HD.  I live in Thiensville, so I don't need maxium gain, but would like a one time purchase too.  So something that will work when they all go back to their old frequencies.

Any suggestions on what antenna to get, and where locally can they be purchased?

I've got one of those old strap sets that go around the chimney and then stand off at a couple of places to bolt on a pole.  It should be able to handle some wind resistance, but I don't want to have a sail up there either.    The chimney isn't used except to release the exhaust from the water heater.  The furnace now exhausts out the side of the house.  Haven't used the fireplace in years.  Might use it once or twice more in the next 10 years, but doubtful.  :)

Jeff I'd just go with a Double Bow Tie from your location.  You've got enough signal from the VHF stations not to worry about them and then you'll have some real good gain on UHF>

Dumb Question ...  What's a double bow tie?  Is it mounted on a shaft and has a driven and reflecter element?

I can't get 58's digital as is now.  My 3 VHF element has a UHF built in to the end of it.  I never really counted how many elements it has, but I would have thought it would be better than a bow tie.     Maybe just raising it above the roof will help.

I could turn my 5 element 438Mhz quad to the south and see if it can get anything.  ;)  That's higher up than anything else on my roof.  Just need to make an adaptor from the N connector to F.
