I just recently left a sales meeting in Texas where we had people in from all around the country.

I brought up the subject of HD and it seems that we are very lucky to live in Milwaukee. Many if not most of the people have little to no access to HD in their communities.

They have stations that have not upgraded to digital and have vowed to only do it when forced by the FCC and even then will not do HD because it is not part of the mandate.

They have cable companies that do not carry HD programming because they do not feel their is enough demand.

The local stores don't do much with HD because the local channels are not in HD.

It made me very happy and proud to live in Milwaukee.

In essence those texans are being RIPPED OFF!!!  Without HD most cannot see the real reason to go to digital.  Here we have a real reason to go to digital, not only because its a sharp and clear picture, but the option of a wider screen.

I must say, I am impressed with the amount of programming today that's compared to what was available a little over a year ago when I bought my set.   I remember sitting and just watching the PBS HD demos over and over. :)

Now I can actually watch programming on PBS!  And local programming like Outdoor Wisconsin to boot!

And, as much as I dislike Time Warner as a corporation, I must admit they have really come around as with adding HD channels.
