I was reading on AVS forum about the non measurement of viewership of digital channels. Supposedly not enough viewers to make it worth Neilsens effort.  It got me thinking about what channels people actually watch here in Milwaukee. And, I suspect, there are some digital channels that literally have no viewers. Lets do a poll and see what local channels people watch the most. I'll even put those digital channels in that have no HD programming.

Since the poll has "OTA" in the subject, would I be correct in assuming you don't want us TWC weenies voting and skewing the results? :)

Granted at the time I voted, there were a total of 11 votes, but I was surprised to see only one other person voted for 10/36.  With all the multicast programming on 10 and all the HDTV programming on 36, I expected that number to be higher.  However, for those with cable/satellite with other choices like discovery channel, etc., the PBS programming is probably not that big of a deal.  But for people like me who just watch OTA TV, all the PBS offerings are fantastic.  I used to watch PBS from time to time to watch things like Nova, but now I find myself watching it all the time because they offer so much more than the other networks.  If I have a friend who wants to see HDTV, I turn on PBS because it the channel most likely to be broadcasting in HD as well.

36-1 is just awesome!!!  To me its between 10/36.  I have a feature called snapshot in my Hauppauge Win-TV-D program and saved it to CD and took it to a friend at work.  He took it home and put the picture I snapped off of 36-1 and printed it on photo paper.  He shows it to the people at work and they cannot believe that the picture was taken from the TV.  It looked more like a shot he made with his 35mm camera.  No scan lines, no ghosting, no grain...very sharp just as live like Memorex but only better.

And one that has no signal, at least for us mere mortal OTA viewers.

Snard, I take that as permission to "skew". Right, Kevin?

Dave
I kinda thought that might happen ...

:D Sure, why not. Cable, OTA, and even psychic reception are OK:D

As as January 29th at 5:00 pm I see 3 people have voted for channel 6.  Really? You mean there are 3 users here that receive Fox 6 OTA?
