Isn't technology great. After moving my "state of the art" bowtie back and forth I managed to get 65% on CBS/46 on 1-1. It's looking beautiful.

Only getting 2% strength on 34 though here in Menomonee Falls. Hopefully they'll increase power to it.

ALso getting
1-2 WLMW41
1-3 TELE63
The receiver is claiming that they're high def channels but currently only std programming is coming in on those.

P.S. I also just want to thank everyone here for providing such fast and accurate help. I've found out about this site only couple of weeks ago but will be coming here often

Actually 46 and 34 towers are right next to each other and you should receive 34 better than 46.  46 is running about 11k ERP while 34 is running about 550k ERP.

46-1 and 46-2 are just standard definition channels.

This is all confusing.
My receiver shows 58-1 through 58-5 which are all actually Channel 4 Hi Def.
To measure the strength of the CBS signal I have to tune to #46 but then it maps that to 1-1. How is that for confusing. The bottom line is I'm watching "The Agency" and enjoying it so I guess that's all that matters.

Strange about 34 though, I'm only getting 5% no matter which way I point the bowtie and I can't actually watch it with my receiver anyway until PSIP is present. Apparently my receiver Hughest E86 won't display anything without PSIP data even if the signal is 100%.

bigcheese - That's not true.  34-1 picture on my E86 is great without PSIP.  So it's not remapped and there's no program info. I'm sure they're still testing, oops, I mean experimenting.  To measure signal strength on the E86, you must enter the physical digital channel (8, 22, 28, 33, 34, 46...).  Has WISN said where they are going to remap?  Can we assume 12-1?

The E86 is a bit quirky and you need to play around with it.  Some digital channels will appear after you enter your zip and do a scan.  Others channels, you physically have to enter the channel number and the E86 will then remember it. (Ex. 10-2 and 10-3 show up after a scan. Enter 8-1, 8-4, 8-5 or 10-1, 10-4, 10-5 and the E86 will remap & remember the remaining PBS channels)  I have no idea why 2 of the PBS channels work that way and the others don't (Probably something with DirecTV's zipcode database).

CBS is a little stranger.  If you try and go to 1-1 you'll get nothing after the scan.  If you go to 58-1, you'll get the digital programming but won't remap.  If you go to 46-1, it will remap to 1-1 and the E86 will remember it.  Same for 1-2 and 1-3.  I'm not sure if the E86 acts this way with my zip only.  I haven't experimented with other zips in the area.

Once you've added all the channels you can manually uncheck the duplicates or analogs and get rid of the channels you don't want.  The thing that sucks with this whole setup is if you have to rescan or reboot.  Start the whole process over again.  You get use to it.

Oops,  Posted before seeing Rees' post with additional info on remapping.  http://www.milwaukeehdtv.org/ubb/Forum1/HTML/000282.html

I dunno.... sounds like experimental technology to me! Maybe Tim was right.
