The volume output on my samsung SIR-T151 seams to be very low. Regular OTA TV, DVD, and Cable box seams to be the same but the samsung volume is much lower. Is there a way to increase the volune out of the composite jacks?. The coaxal works fine. My wife does not know how to work the receiver with 5.1. So she uses the TV for everything.

Can anyone help me? I have a totally programable remote. I figured out how to raise the level on my cable box, which your not supposed to be able to do, through code keys on my remote. Is there any code keys for the samsung box?

How do you like this box otherwise?  I'm considering getting one.

It seems to be ok. I am out here on the far north east side of Jackson. (Boardering on West Bend). I Put up a roof top antena thats about 20+ years old with rotery that I got from my dads lake cottage. I can spin it around to pick up many stations around the state. I receive a 60% signal from milwaukee. It works fine. It to me is a no frills box, It works fine. I purahased from circuit city. It was a returned unit so I only paid $200.00 for it. They gave me a full waranty. If I had a choice I wood have gotten the older 160 with more outputs. I would not buy this box new. To pricey.

I got the SIR-T151 on E-bay for $85 bucks, not a bad deal.  I'm very happy with it.  Using it I get great reception of all the digital channels out of Milwaukee (minus Fox6),  using only a small indoor antenna.

DeBelak,

From what I can see, you cannot adjust the ouput volume on this reciever.  Turning the dynamic range compression on/off is the only adjustment you can make as far as volume levels go.
