When I saw Greg posting in the "Latest News" the following....

Samsung now offers what appears to be the least costly high-definition set in the United States, a 27-inch model in the standard 4:3 picture format for $699. Samsung also offers a 30-inch high-definition wide-screen model and a 32-inch 4:3 high-definition model, each of them for $999. (The standard ratio between the width and height of a television screen is 4:3; wide-screen models generally use a 16:9 standard.)

This is great!!!  So whenever my 27" analog decides to die, replacing it will be affordable since we must change over to the new technology. Definitely when it dies it WILL be replaced by a HDTV.  I have a feeling my TV won't die when you want it to, it will probably keep operating for years to come.

Afterall, if we are force to accept digital TV and that analog is to shut down in 2006, then new TVs receivers that must receive Digital TV must sell at an affordable price.
