Back in July, WHA-DT had audio problems as well.  They found out that when they installed an encoder update, that the audio disappeared on some receivers.

They did a bench test with a RCA, Samsung, Panasonic, and Hughes.

For video and audio, they found the Samsung to be most forgiving of any kind of signal. The panasonic was close behind.

The RCA and Hughes had no audio.

Turns out that when WHA-DT tried to implement their own hardware vs. just passing through PBS, the audio pids got moved.  The RCA and Hughes could not lock up to the info.

I'd be curious to hear what happened in the middle of Nova that Gregg finally was able to hear.

Hopefully WPT(WHA) and MPTV(WMVS) share their experiences.
