After reading on the AVS Forum about the WB's HDTV lineup this fall I went to www.wb18.com  to find an address to email to. Holy cow did my heart skip a beat when I clicked on the tech link!!! Then I clicked on coverage map to see if something was up. hehehe..

Mike Sheahan

Good one!

It took me a while to find the link you were talking about, but it had me on the edge of my seat as well.

We should e-mail that page to channel 18 to let them see how it should be done!

That was good. I wondered how I had missed that signal along with everyone else. What a tease!

LOL - Very nice! Which "Lobe" are we on?

Mike, how is that "superbit" 5th Element? I have the normal version and it's pretty good. Not DTS though. (Sorry, off topic...)

Matt Heebner

I had to "chime" in about The Fifth Element. The Superbit is truely "reference" quality with the color and detail amazing. I visited your website, and with your TV, you would really benefit from the improved resolution. Hell, it was worth buying a second time just for the DTS soundtrack. In my opinion, well worth buying again!

You almost had me going there as well.

Alas, the proper site is www.wvtv18.com.  Unfortunately a useless website when it comes to finding information on HDTV or who to ask about it.

Oh yeah, I should have put in that jibe. By emailing WVTV 18 I mean I sent a message to the only online contact available for that place.. The Webmaster.. arrgghh.. And you know what truly sucks? I ACTUALLY LIKE SMALLVILLE!!! It's my favorite show on TV only tied with CSI. Too make matters worse Smallville seems to be most definitely headed for 1080i this fall. If I don't get 1080i Smallville here in Milwaukee I'm going down to 35th St. and ripping that place apart with my bare hands........

As an official moderator and some sort of muckety-muck in the Milwaukee HD group, I need to take this opportunity to officially mention that it is our group's policy not endorse, encourage or even acknowledge destructive behavior or vandalism like this against any Milwaukee stations...

...although it certainly would be justifiable.

Maybe, we could channel all of that negative energy and aim it towards N Green Bay Road. Gotta be better than the 9 volt dry cell, everyone has been talking about!?

So how the heck do I get a hold of WVTV besides that absolutely ridiculous Aks the Webmaster form on their site? Anyone know?

Mike Sheahan

Sorry about this off topic response, but Matt is correct in saying the Superbit version of the Fifth Element is worth a second copy, but what I did with my first copy was to give it to a friend who just bought his first DVD player.

What a great movie to start out with.
