Mitsubishi Service Menu Access Codes

Here is a table of activation codes for recent Mitsubishi RPTVs. Each of these codes is preceded by a press of the MENU button on the remote (V19 Adjustment Menu = "MENU-0-1-5-7"). When in the Convergence mode, the 6, 5, and 4 buttons on the remote select Misc, Coarse, and Fine adjustment modes.

Thank you for posting the codes, but could you explain what exactly it means.

Are all the things above "Menu/Mode" just model numbers?  What are all the 4:3 and 16:9 things for?  Sometimes there are two or three right on top of each other.  I guess I'm just confused as to what are the codes, and what is all the other stuff?

Thanks again for posting them.

I'm confused too. I know that hometheaterspot has a lot of codes and tweaks, but you have to pay to see them. Anyone else have them?

First off, I don't condone service menu adjustments. You can cause major harm to your expensive TV if you make a mistake. No manufacturer will honor your warrantee if they find that you've been in their service menu. And, if you really must do this, pay the membership fee at HTS. You not only get the tweaks, but also the valuable help, tips, tricks and experience of all the contributors.

Second, I would hope that the OP can/will give credit to the site or person that this info. was gleaned from. Hate to think that I'm responding to something that was ripped without props.

That being said, think in blocks of 4 rows when reading typhoon's post. I used my model and known (verified) menu codes to section out and recombine the data as follows:

Chassis_Aspect_Ratio_Model_No_Option__Adjustmnt_Conv

VZ6____4:3_________VS-50803_1-3-7-0_2-3-5-7____2-3-5-9

VZ8____4:3_________VS-50607_1-2-7-0_1-2-5-7____1-2-5-9

__________________________________________________

VZ18___16:9________WS-65809_0-1-7-0_0-1-5-7___0-1-5-

I can only verify the codes for my Mits. Cannot vouch for the accuracy of the rest.

Be REALLY careful with this stuff, guys !

Dave
I kinda thought that might happen ...

Agreed.  Proceed with caution here, the service manual which is available for most late model Mitsubishi sets is about $65-- and fully documents the settings for your particular chassis, but really doesn't go into depth on how to use them.

I'm not saying do not do this (I have), but I am saying measure twice, cut once.  Document original setting, research, research, change one at a time.

A screwup requiring a non-warranty service call would pay for several Spot membership years.  Do your homework here folks.
