Starting at 9am Thursday, August 1st WTMJ-DT will be showing our favorite HDTV demo tapes for the HDTV booth at the Wisconsin State Fair. The tapes will run from 9am until 10pm every day of the fair, August 1st through August 11th.
The lighthouse is included in the tapes.
The news will come on at 10pm and then Jay Leno at 10:35pm.

Maybe you could show WDJT's HD Net experiment on the set. Some mighty good shows there.

Of course the weekend of State Fair this year and I'm in Vegas.. Too bad I didn't have a portable HDTV.. watch a little in my hotel room

I stopped at the booth at the state fair today.

They have 3 TVs with HDNet.  4 with TMJ4 HD.  One projector playing Star Wars #1.

I asked to change the TMJ feed to 1-1 quickly.  Sorry, the quality is much lower on the re-feed of HDNET than the original.

There is also a great plasma screen in the living room of the house being raffled off in the new expo hall.  It was also running HDNET.

Other tip about the fair:  The microbrews cost the same as domestic at the microbrew tent by the international bazaar.

enjoy the fair,

I don't know if I would say much lower quality, but it is noticeable. mostly in the color saturation..

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! Hiss!!!!!!!!!!!!! Duck those tomatoes!!!!!!!

How dare WTMJ show us Hear$t-Argyle self promotional junk on 4.1. What a disgrace showing this Chronicle episode. Got any "Fox Widescreen" superbowl coverage from 2002?

The lighthouse and other rebroadcast items have been great given what little I've caught.

Too bad you guys can't do a rebroadcast of Leno or Crossing Jordan in HD... While the demo stuff creates a "wow" factor, the masses really need to see the stuff they normally watch in crappy analog SD to be inspired to buy.

And what a great opportunity WDJT 58 is missing by not having a presence at the fair. They have substantial HD offerings that could do just what Tom says. Could have partnered with Colder's to put a huge projection TV up running the CBS HD material and HDNet stuff. Even could have shown 41 and 63 off on the multicast. Oh well, opportunity missed. Even WITI could have had a presence with a dunk tank......
