Can anybody explain this or send some info on this feature?
And why it is a feature,yet not enabled?Any advice or info would be helpful.:bang:

The short and skinny on this in a pretty simple manner.

You really only need to read the first 1/4 of the page as the rest of it is some sort of software capability thing.....

It applies only to progressive scanning of film. Progressive scan video displays 60 frames per second.  Film displays 24.  It turns out mathematically, that 5 frames of video takes the same time as 2 frames of film.  (5/60 == 2/24)  So progressive scan DVD players (or broadcasts of film) show one frame 3 times and another frame 2 times.  Simple enough.

So the problem becomes which film frame to show 3 times and which to show 2 times.  There are a surprising number of issues with this however, that get very complicated.
