After the Olympics the cameras could end up as "B Stock" on Sony's website. I remember going on there about a year ago and they still had stuff from the 2006 Winter Olympics for sale.

Still, HD is more than just a set - it's the cameras and everything in the control room. Dunno how much of that was upgraded - I have a faint memory that WITI also upgraded their control room, or at least the switchboard, not too long ago as well.
