--Over-the-Air DTV Signals in Markets that Include Nearly 92% of TV Homes--

     WASHINGTON, D.C. - The National Association of Broadcasters announced today that 17 more television stations have begun transmitting a digital signal.

     Of the 17 new DTV stations (listed below), one is the first in its market on air with DTV (marked with a *).

KAZT-TV Phoenix, AZ (Market Rank #16), singly owned independent
WSIL-TV Paducah, KY (Market Rank #75), Mel Wheeler-owned ABC affiliate
WSMV-TV Nashville, TN (Market Rank #30), Meredith-owned NBC affiliate
WSJV-TV South Bend, IN (Market Rank #87), QNI-owned FOX affiliate
KXLT-TV Rochester, MN (Market Rank #152), QNI-owned FOX affiliate
KETV-TV Omaha, NE (Market Rank #78) , Hearst-Argyle-owned ABC affiliate

     This brings to 535 the number of stations broadcasting in digital. DTV signals are now being transmitted in 154 markets that include 91.97% of U.S. TV households. In addition, 46% of U.S. TV households are in markets where broadcasters are delivering four or more DTV signals.
