Possible but I'd think that if it were on the cloud it wouldn't show % of the hard drive used anymore.

I have a Samsung H3270.  The compensation settings are set just the software is to slow to respond to the remote click.  Also, when I try to watch something from the dvr especially if I'm just starting program late the box spends 20-30 seconds "updating show settings" and on a few occasions will flat out tell me my recording isn't available right now.

For me the new guide is the slowest crappiest guide they've come out with yet.  Everything takes 10x longer than it did before and it is really hard to get the dvr fast forward to stop in the right place.

It's all due to the old cable non-compete clauses that the cities singed with the cable companies way back when.  We will never get Verizon fios as for one we are not in a Verizon landline area and last I heard they weren't building that network out anymore.  Our best hope is to get picked as a google fiber city.

On my Samsung 3270 the search is almost unusable with how slow it is, you type a letter in and it takes 9 sec. before you can move to the next letter.

They do need to air the warnings however, they don't need the map and such, for instance channel 10 just puts a thunderstorm logo in the corner of the screen.

Milwaukee HDTV Programming / Am I seeing things..........

They just thanked mptv for the truck so it isn't their hd production yet but said that hd news is coming soon.

Sounds like it's the HDCP or high def content protection, which can be linked to either a bad hdmi port on either the cable box or the tv or a bad hdmi cable.  First try the hdmi cable in a different port on the tv, also if you can try a different hdmi cable.  If that doesn't work either go to twc and swap boxes which doesn't cost anything or switch back to component.  If you swap boxes and it still doesn't work even with a new hdmi cable then it's something wrong with the tv.

Tmj will probably buy them so they can have even more outlets for their constant weather coverage.....

I have basiclly the same setup execpt I don't have a dvr but you need to unplug the HDMI cable from the tv while you record because of the HDCP (hi def copy protection).  If you switch to component cables you get around it as there is no HDCP, you don't really loose any quality picture wise but you might sound wise.

Milwaukee HDTV Technical Issues / Cable Competition

The bill went though and nothing has really changed except service has gotten worse because they are no longer held to the local standards we had before.  If you want to read the bill as it was enacted it can be found here http://www.legis.state.wi.us/2007/data/acts/07Act42.pdf.

Milwaukee HDTV Equipment / Pioneer Ending Plasma Production
Thursday Feb 12, 2009, 07:34:24 PM
http://www.tomsguide.com/us/vizio-lcd-plasma-pioneer-hdtv,news-3475.html

Vizio is also ditching plasma as they arn't bright enough to wow the typical consumer in a big box store under the bright florescent lights.

Milwaukee HDTV Technical Issues / Any TWC STBs with HDMI?

You could also just take your box back to twc and say you want a newer model, I believe they should swap it out for you no problem.
