I've always had my Cisco cable box set to display all the available HD formats (480 i/p, 720p & 1080i) and never had a problem.  Starting last night, it appears that any channel using 720p is "flickering".  I thought at first it might just be the HDTV signal, but it picture is fine on HDHomerun Prime that has a cablecard.

If I go into the Cisco menu, and disable the 720p on the Output Resolution screen of the High Definition menu, everything is fine.  Possibly the box is going bad?  Or something else?

Noticed the same thing on both OTA and on TW.

Well the rescan seems to have cleared up the problem.  After the rescan, 4-1 (28) came in right away.  However, after flipping through channels, and then coming back to 4-1 (28), the T165 did reboot again once.  After flipping through channels a couple of more time, it didn't reboot at all.

I'll see how it works tonight.

On a unrelated item, does anyone know how to display the firmware version on the T165?  I tried some of the same type of things used on the T150 & T160, and they didn't work.

I have the exact same issue with my T165.  The first few weeks it would reset once the first time I tunedto 4-1 (28), and after rebooting, it would tune in fine.  I could then change channels, and when I came back to 4-1 it was fine.  The next time I would turn it on, it would reboot the first time I tuned to 4-1 again, and then be fine again after.

Now, I can't get 4-1 at all.  The unit just keeps rebooting.

Pat - I didn't rescan, but I did manually delete the channel, and then tune to it by pressing the numbers on the remote (as opposed to channel up/down)

I'll try rescanning.....

Does anyone know how to display the firmware version of the Samsung SIR-T165 STB?

I tried a few ways similar to those used on the T150 & T165 and didn't find it anywhere.
