If you are going to install it yourself, go to Skywalker Communications in New Berlin. That's where I bought mine, a Winegard. They also sell Channel Master. The sign on front door says "Wholesale only" but they sold to me. I've been there a few times for different items. You'll get the wholesale price too.

Milwaukee HDTV Technical Issues / Re-calibration
Wednesday Sep 08, 2004, 02:06:44 AM
Scott, $100 is way too low for a "complete calibration". Make sure you ask them everything they will do. The posts I've read on Avsforum and Hometheaterforum are at least $300. Have you tried to do the re-converge yourself? And then get a calibration disc such as Avia or Digital Video Essentials. They work pretty good.

Thanks for responding. I've read all the info. at Projectorcentral.com, and by the way that list you refer to is based on popularity, not quality or reviews. I go by the "Highly recommended projectors" list they have. Not all of us can afford to buy a 720P projector, so we buy a 480P projector.

Milwaukee HDTV Equipment / Mits. problem
Friday Aug 20, 2004, 10:24:22 PM
I had the same problem with my 55807 about 6 months ago. I had it a little over 3 years when it started. I'm glad I bought the extended warranty. This is a known problem with the 55807. The solder joints on the convergence panels loosen up or crack. Good luck.

Kemmer TV may rock, but he's pretty expensive. He gave me a price over the phone(strange, but he said he didn't need to come to site first). Needless to say, my son and I did it ourselves and saved a lot of money. It was much easier than I thought, but I did not need a roof mount.

Has anyone had trouble picking up CBS digital channel the last few days? I am trying to figure out if my problem is CBS or my Dish Network 811 HD receiver. Up until a few days ago, I was picking up all the Milwaukee digital channels just fine. Then I went to tune in CBS and it was gone. My receiver has never given me a problem losing channels. I "re-scanned" the digital channels and CBS shows up on the guide, but it's not coming in. Thanks.

Milwaukee HDTV Programming / Dolby digital
Friday Jun 25, 2004, 02:35:33 AM
Mags, do you have one of the newer Directv receivers with DD output? If so, are you running digital cable from sat. receiver to home theater receiver? And I'm assuming you have a Dolby Digital receiver?

Once again today I can't receive CBS digital or WB(18) digital channels. NBC comes in great, about 90%. ABC comes in great, about 82%. I re-scanned my 811 Dish receiver, and it won't tune in CBS or WB(18). Any ideas about CBS & WB signal strength, etc? Thanks.

It's good to see a fellow Bears fan on here. I am aware of the 49% OTA problem. Whenever any channel isn't tuning in, it shows that 49% signal strength deal. When I do pick up CBS digital it's only coming in at about 65% strength. Thanks guys.

Milwaukee HDTV Programming / Trouble picking up CBS digital OTA
Thursday Jun 10, 2004, 01:43:13 AM
I have the 811 HD receiver from Dish Network and some days I can pick up CBS OTA fine, and other days I can't. Does anyone else have a problem with CBS DIGITAL channel going in and out? I notice it at night when I want to watch Letterman? Again tonight I had to watch it on analog channel 58. And no it's not my antenna. I also can't pick up channel 18 digital the last couple days, anyone else? Thanks.
