I'm not a big hockey fan, but I think hockey may be the best sport for HD.

I am always amazed how realistic and lifelike those NHL games on HDnet look.  No question the NHL could catch a few new fans as the country converts to HD.

One of the best HD events I ever saw was that Edmonton-Montreal outdoor stadium old-timers game and later that evening the outdoor NHL game back in December(?) on HD net.

That was an awesome use of HD.  Great to see Guy Lafleur and Steve Shutt back on the same line again, going against Gretzky, etc.
