Title: WITI 6-1 Black level
Post by: jjallou on Wednesday Jul 16, 2008, 08:08:32 PM
FYI - - -

I've been noticing for the last few weeks that the upconverted material on 6-1 looks washed out and blacks look gray. When they dip to black between segments the black is still lighter than the black side bars. No other local HD station looks like this (with the exception of 12-1's slightly greenish tint & 18-1/24-1's obnoxious graphics). Network material from Fox looks fine. What's Up! :huh?:

This isn't the first time that it's been a problem with WITI.  Here's a post (http://www.milwaukeehdtv.org/forums/showthread.php?t=5583&highlight=black+levels) from 2005 where I noticed the same situation.

It's pretty evident that somethings not right.  Hopefully someone will fix it soon.

Yes I would agree it looks like it's been fixed.  At least we know that Fox6 might be reading this forum. Anyway, thanks it looks much better now. :)
