On/Off Topic Chit-Chat / Getting rid of old latex paint

Thanks guys. Some of the cans have at least 3 inches of paint, so I don't think it will "dry" or will it?

On/Off Topic Chit-Chat / Any plumbers out there?
Wednesday Aug 28, 2013, 09:53:12 PM
Thanks budda. The only problem is the pump is leaking(very slowly). It appears to be from the seal. I think it's the original pump(Wagner) from when house was built, in 1975. And Wagner appears to be out of business. I don't want to repair an old pump like this. I'd rather replace it. I don't even know what kind of pump to buy. It's currently a 1/2 HP jet pump.

Budda, I sent you a PM.

On/Off Topic Chit-Chat / Any plumbers out there?

How difficult is it to replace a shallow well jet pump? We have a point well, and the pump sits on the basement floor. My regular plumber told me he cannot do it because it's too specialized. Another plumber came today and said it would cost $1,200(including pump) plus materials. Is he out of his mind? A 3/4 HP Flotec pump at Home Depot costs $226. I'm trying to find a plumber that can do this for me. Thanks.

What does that even mean?

Switch to EarthLink, it's the exact same service for less.  It's a subsidiary of TWC. The bill even says TWC on it. My total bill is $44.09 each month for "EarthLink High Speed" 10 Mbps.

Does anyone here have a 3 season porch? We are looking into building a 3 season porch, and I have some questions. Thanks.

It's about time you bought something. :rof: Using someone else's settings isn't exactly ideal. The TV needs to be calibrated for your room. I have the Spears and Munsil cal. disc and the HD test patterns from Avsforum if you ever want to use them. You just pop it in your Blu-ray player. If your set has multiple user memory settings, you can have one set for daylight viewing, and one for night viewing.

What about Amazon, Colders, Sears and Radtke Appliance?

How about a front projector? Or is this for a family room situation?

I agree about the LED TV's. They are inferior to plasmas in just about every way.
