so i got the pioneer HD box (BD-V3500HD) from TWC today and discovered some nuisances that i'm not sure is universal with all HD boxes. (my HDTV = samsung 32" LN-S3251)

1.  i have to constantly push the volume button instead of holding it down to adjust the volume.  

2.  i can't access my TV's menu with the synergy remote.

3.  the auto volume adjuster on my TV doesn't work with the HD box.

are these issues common?
