Now that DirecTv has 58 in High Def and my new TV has a built in ASTC tuner I am selling my DirecTv OTA tuner.

Can this be used as a stand alone tuner or do you HAVE to use it with the Directv DVR ?  I have the   R22-200 in one room but it does not have an OTA tuner in it.  I wonder if I could use this with that ?

It is not a stand alone tuner it has to be connected to a DirecTv box. I was just searching another forum and I found that the AM21 is compatible with the R22.
