I guess it depends on how far you sit from the screen, because that's a pretty small set.

I don't believe in that backlighting BS. The darker in the room, the better.

Watching cars going in circles for hours is too exciting for me. My heart can't take it.

Matt, at least you're getting an unbiased opinion. When was the last time you read a negative review about a TV in one of the "experts" magazines? They have to kiss the advertiser's asses.

On/Off Topic Chit-Chat / Any X1 projector owners out there?
Sunday Feb 13, 2005, 07:24:55 PM
I'm just curious if any of you own the Infocus X1 projector, and what you have hooked up to it? I've had mine about 4 months and I love it. I have the Dish Network 811 HD receiver, OTA antenna, and DVD player hooked up to it. It's not an HD projector, but the internal scaler is excellent, and the picture with HD is great. 106" of pure beauty, and the best part is I paid $799 new.

The Toshiba 3960 was rated the best "budget" DVD player at Hometheaterhifi.com. I know Best Buy sells it.

I have a 55" Mitsubishi widescreen HDTV, in excellent condition I'm selling, if you want to save some money. It's listed in the Yard Sale section here.

Milwaukee HDTV Technical Issues / Cable
Monday Feb 07, 2005, 02:47:45 AM
Why are you guys with cable? Is it because you don't have a good line of sight for satellites, or am I missing something? I'm not trying to be rude here.

I always pick up Fox very well. There's nothing like HD football on a 106" screen.

The only theater I attend is in my basement. Infocus X1 projector with a 106" diagonal screen.

Yard Sale / 55"
Wednesday Feb 02, 2005, 10:23:48 PM
I'm selling it for 2 reasons: 1) I bought an Infocus X1 projector about 4 months ago, and we watch ALL DVD's on that, and some HDTV. The Mits. doesn't get used much anymore. 2) It's a luxury sitting there, and my son goes off to college in the fall. I agree with you, it's puts out a beautiful picture.
