We just had a well drilled, and now we need to treat the iron in the water. What do you guys use? Just a water softener? A whole house iron filter?
A guy from Culligan tested our water today, and said we need a whole house iron filter or a new "All-in-one" water softener that also treats the iron in the water. I'm just not sure if he's trying to sell us their expensive equipment.

I enthusiastically recommend these guys and an "Iron Curtain". We had one for years when we had the well with a high iron content and it did the job perfectly with no maintenance - and it does not use any chemicals.

Can't speak for an 'all in one', but I can tell you that iron will quickly kill a standard water softener. If you have significant iron or sulfur products in the water, you really do want that iron filter ahead of a softener.
