I'm a current Dish HD customer, and have been waiting to see if Dish would make this move. I hope Dish decides to add more HD channels. I cancelled my HD package a couple months ago, but will start up again if they add more decent HD channels. Gregg, what do you think Dish will do? Thanks.

Favre is NOT going to retire yet. He will milk the Packers for every penny he can. He will have to be forced out.

Not only his playoff record, the Packers  regular season  record at home sucks. The Packers used to be unbeatable at home, especially in Nov. and Dec.

You're assuming a lot John, that they'll make the playoffs next season.

The cable companies will continue to make their customers,
"BEND OVER AND TAKE IT". No I don't have cable and never will.

Are you talking about SD or HD? The SD picture quality is the same.  I had Directv for 5 years, and Dish for the last year. The HD quality with Dish is great  with my 811 HD receiver, but I never had HD with Directv. The HD equipment is definitely cheaper with Dish, I lease my HD receiver for $5 per month.
The main advantage of Directv is if you want the NFL package.

On/Off Topic Chit-Chat / What's a fair price for this RPTV?

I'm THINKING of selling my Mitsubishi WS-55807, 55" widescreen. It is 16:9 format, HDTV ready, excellent condition. I bought it new in 2001, and it has over 1 year left on the Extended Warranty, which is transferable. I can list much more info. if anyone is interested.

Milwaukee HDTV Programming / Bears vs. Texans Sunday in HD?
Friday Dec 17, 2004, 10:54:16 PM
I just checked CBS' website, and it doesn't say if the Bears game will be in HD. Am I missing something, do they list that?
The last time the Bears were on CBS, earlier this season, it was not in HD. Thanks.

Milwaukee HDTV Technical Issues / Nels

I also have the 811 receiver, and that is a known problem. But, it has been corrected with software upgrades, and mine has been working great for a few months now.
In order for the software to be downloaded to your 811, you have to turn power off to the 811 when not in use(I don't mean unplug, just power off with remote). By the way, there's a great website at Satelliteguys.us, and there's a section just for the 811 under Dish Network for any other questions.
