Title: What's up with 58
Post by: Tom Snyder on Thursday Feb 07, 2008, 11:08:14 PM
Thursday night... Survivor started out with a picture that was just a mess... waves of green pixels. Then switched to the SD feed and it was fine. Looks like they tried the HD feed again at the beginning of Letterman and got the same thing...  So is it a problem with the feed... the reception or something else?

Our HD signals from CBS Network failed last night because of water getting caught underneath our dish covers and freezing, therefore causing signal loss.  Not exactly easy to remove ice at night when it's below freezing either.  The problem has been resolved and HD signals are working again as of this afternoon.  Our sideband SD signal (58.2)had no effect on this signal loss.

Thanks for the info... information vacuums are often filled with misinformation and other "stuff." We want this forum to be the place where the members can report issues, and if you're not aware of them you can get the info you need to help fix them...

...and if you ARE aware, you can let is know what caused the problem.  :)
