As I posted else where in the forum, I have been enjoying the CBS line up, and it looks great... Thought I have been finding alot of noise in the background... Are we really watching EDTV??? My understanding is that a channel could broadcast one signal of HD or many of ED or SD. I noticed that during this last Monday's lineup that WDJT was mapping 46.1-46.4 but there was no information on .2-.4 When WTMJ sends out a HD 1080i signal it is only 28.1, nothing else, and it seems much sharper.  Is this mapping compressing the signal? Are we watching Enhanced Definition Television???

 Any thoughts??

That will be a great question to ask Jim Hall during the "live" chat... I know that he has privately talked about the channel mapping thing with one of our members, and plans on discussing that tonight (if we ask).
