well, contrary to the speculation, it looks like there's an excellent chance that DirecTV WILL be ready in September for HD. The scheduled launch is for July 6th. With it supposedly taking 6-8 weeks for a typical insertion and testing that puts them done with testing and ready to run channels at a not-so-conservative beginning of September. Of course that is barring any unforeseen problems.
