Any thoughts on JVC's D-VHS format? I was thinking of picking up one of these so I could upconvert my 720p footage from my camera. Not to mention taping HD programming. I was just wondering if anyone was using this format and what their thoughts were.
Thanks for ant assistance!

I recently (A few days ago) got one, a JVC SR-VD400U, and I must admit it's been problematic.  I'm unable to get it to record from my STB (A MIT-MDR200), though the transport controls work and such I get no video data.  It records splendid SD material, I can't wait to see HD through it when I get it sorted out.  There are lots of folk on the avsforums who are playing with the various D-VHS decks and emulators, you might want to snoop around over there.
