POWAY, Calif., Nov. 04, 2002 -- Gateway, Inc. today announced the Gateway plasma TV and digital display. The 42-inch display offers high quality and performance at an competitive price -- starting at $2,999, or about half the price of many competitive products. It is now featured along with other digital electronics and Gateway PCs in Gateway stores nationwide, where customers can get expert consultation and have the ability to try out products before buying.

The Gateway plasma TV and digital display offers benefits for both consumers and businesses. Consumers will appreciate the stylish and space-saving design while enjoying outstanding TV picture quality. For business and institutional customers, the Gateway Plasma Display is the perfect tool for dynamic messaging, presentations, training and teleconferencing needs. It brings wide-screen viewing to conference rooms, reception areas and other locations that are too small for standard CRT monitors, projection TVs or other outdated messaging systems.
The Gateway plasma TV and digital display is high-definition capable and compatible with satellite TV, digital cable services and network television. It can be connected to a DVD player, VCR, HDTV decoder set-top box, external audio connections, gaming devices and a PC. In addition, the Gateway plasma TV and digital display comes standard with features that many competitive products don't offer, including a built-in internal 5-watt stereo amplification and speakers, table stand and an integrated NTSC tuner.

At 68 pounds and less than 4 inches deep, the Gateway plasma TV and digital display is lightweight, sleek and easy to install anywhere in home or business environments. Giving customers added flexibility in room placement, it provides a 160-degree viewing angle without losing image clarity.

Gateway will provide customized installation services to support the plasma TV and digital display, from delivery and basic set-up to wall mounting and connections to external components. There are a variety of financing options available for business and consumer customers, including no interest until 2004.

Gateway offers the plasma TV and digital display in three packages, including a stand-alone offer and two systems with Bose speakers and professional installation:
