Thanks. I forgot about the damn converter box. NO cable or satellite, OTA only. If we just want to watch one channel at a time, I don't need to split the antenna signal, do I?

I should remember this old school stuff, but I don't.

1) TV - composite and HDMI only

2) VCR - We want to be able to watch a show and record another channel at the same time. Do I need to use a splitter to do this? Or can I run antenna into "antenna in" on VCR, and then "antenna out" to TV? What do you guys recommend? I'd rather not use a splitter if I don't have to. Thanks.

Best Buy was free also. When I called Goodwill they told me they don't even take tube TV's anymore.

I only use our OTA antenna for our HD programming. Do the TV stations in Milwaukee compress the signal also? Or is it just the cable and satellite companies?

KryptoNyte, I NEVER said 720p was better OR worse than 1080i. I simply said that 720p is "good". PONIES claim that "there's no such thing as good 720p" is ridiculous and wrong.

I'm done here. PONIES is obviously here just to argue.

Is 720p a "good" signal? Yes. Is it great, NO.

Do you guys know of anywhere I can get rid of 2 old tube TV's? I'm in Waukesha County. Does Waukesha County have  a drop off place? I will call my village hall tomorrow and see what they say. Thanks.
