I have 2 HR20 DVR's.
I experience audio dropouts and stalls on both units.
It happens most often in programs that we have recorded and are playing back.
I have had Directv out 5 or 6 times and they have run out of idea's to fix this problem.
They have replaced the dish, cables, etc. and they swear that it is grounded.
Any idea's?

It's most likely something on DIRECTV's end, whether it be the software on the box or something at the uplink.  I have an HR22 using HDMI to my AV receiver and component to another TV.  I notice dropouts mostly on the HDMI side because my AV receiver has to resync the sound when there's a dropout.  I haven't really noticed on my other TV... there might be a slight dropout, but it comes back quick enough for me not to notice.

There's a big thread about it on dbstalk: http://www.dbstalk.com/showthread.php?t=167900

Thanks kevbec 122.....
I have seen the thread at DBS.
They seem to link it to HDMI hookups, like you do, but I use component cables.
