Been waiting for this!

Auto HD is now on TWC, which means that you don't have to punch the 1 button first to get the HD station.  (Although the old method still works.)

Not entirely. It looks like it is a considerable improvement over where it's been for quite a while now (at least a year or more). The following are channels under 100 still in SD, despite HD versions being available:
4 (GSN)
11 (HLN)
17 (ABC Family)
20 (BET)
24 (WCGV)
31 (FSN Wisconsin)
61 (TV Land)

The rest seem to either be HD, or channels without an HD equivalent. (I may have missed one or two.)

Previously, about 60% of the channels under 100 that were auto-HD.

On my TWC Arris Box,

I tested channel 4 (GSN) the commercials where in normal non-stretched view with side-bars as was the show.  Hard to say because a lot of GSN's content is not HD.  I have not tested the other channels.  I don't think we ever got TV Land in HD in Wisconsin.

I agree that this is a great improvement!

Looks like all of these guys have been corrected now. I haven't re-checked the rest of the channels, but I did check the ones I listed above, and all of them are in HD (aside from TV Land, which is still SD only).
