How do I replace the battery in an IR "eye?

Hi everyone and thanks in advance for any help!

The "eye" on the side of my TV that reads the signal from my Time-Warner remote and sends it to the cable box has stopped working.

I think it needs a new battery -- right? The problem is I cannot figure out how to get this little guy open. Any ideas? I'll attach a picture and hopefully it will help.

Thanks!

I've never seen a cable box with an external IR sensor. Weird. What cable box are you using?

In any case, no, there is generally no battery in an IR sensor.

Thanks for the response! I should have been more clear. I have a remote IR sensor that is taped to the front of the TV. It sends the signal back through the wall and down into the cabinet and the Time-Warner cable box.

I must have done something to it yesterday when I was trying to get it open because it suddenly started working again. Weird...
