TWC is the last of 8 major carrier to not come up with a agreement with the NFL Network!

One of the few channels I  really wish TWC would carry, I could do without most of the channels we currently have.

Sorry, I didn't mean that at you personally. I just meant that I knew somebody would try to defend TWC, even though they are clearly the ones being incompetent this time.

In the 2nd Quarter of this year TWC has lost 165,000 subscribers, Nationwide A big reason being people, are getting upset at the rising  price of cable services and disconnecting. No provider, either cable or satellite has seen major recent subscriber gains. With so many programmers especially the  cable networks owned by the ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC OTA networks demanding greater fees for their cable programs, which is passed on to the consumer. We can expect the trend of subscriber loss to continue and may reach the point were most consumers would  consider cable to be uneconomical and cause cable/ satellite providers to go out of business, to the delight of OTA stations.

One more point the NFL network is half owned  by the FOX television Network

Well, I don't think wanting to hoist another mandatory niche channel upon every basic cable subscriber is very reasonable on NFL Network's part either especially when football is already spread across a dozen of the basic networks like some sort of plague. I don't see why basic subscribers need the NFL Network when they've got ESPN and local channels which already air more hours of football than you can watch in a lifetime.

The last I heard NFL Network was charging 75 cents a subscriber/month, putting it in the top 10 most expensive cable networks.

While it's admirable that Time Warner is willing to take a stand against the NFL, if they really wanted to foster some good will they'd take a stand against Disney/ESPN and drop that $5 monthly charge for ESPN off of everyone's bill.

No, you're thinking of Big Ten Network.
