Anyone else having issues with 4 signal quality? All other channels and subs in 90+ s/n level, while 4 bounces from 70 - 90 at various times. Started about week or so ago. No changes to equipment, 2 Dish DTVPAL's, Dish VIP722k (OTA Module), VIZIO LCD TV. Heavy pixelation on PAL's and TV,  Loss of signal on 722. At times it's almost impossible to watch programs. Any suggestions ?????????

Are you losing signal on the VIP722 feed from the satellite on Ch. 4?  Or are you losing the signal from an off the air antenna?  I also have the VIP722, and see no problems with off the air, or from the satellite.

If it's from the off the air antenna, one thing it might be is multipath, causing the figure of merit (No, it's not a signal strength measurement.) to go down because of reflections, tree leaves, or even a new construction somewhere.

I had a similar problem with Ch. 4, off the air, and attenuating the antenna signal improved the reception to where there is no more problem here.  Attenuation reduced the direct signal a bit, but caused the interfering signals to reduce exponentially, eliminating the problem.

If your problem is from the satellite feed, that's a problem for Dish Network.

Harvey is right on what he said. About multi-path and other aspects of you problem.

But FYI Dish has had an issue. With OTA at least on the 722 models update coming out this month. No exact date.
