WACY Appleton is listed as UPN affiliate now on digitally. Here's the listing from NAB site:

WACY-TV Appleton, WI (market rank #69), Aries Telecommunications-owned UPN affiliate

It should be on channel 59 so it might get wiped out by CBS58. Any northsiders see this?

Got_HDTV?

Greetings,

I live in Appleton and have a HD STB courtesy of my local TimeWarner cable. Currently HBO, Showtime and CBS are available in HD.

Unfortunately I don't have an antenna so I'm at the mercy of TWC for my HD channels.  I wasn't aware that the local UPN went digital;
however, I was informed that the local ABC and NBC affiliates went digital May 1st.

Hopefully TWC will make them available soon.

I'll keep you posted.

If the STB has an input for an antenna, you should be able to get the 59 signal with just a pair of rabbit ears or any UHF indoor antenna. Let us know what you see.

I have the Scientific Atlanta Explorer 3100HD  HiDef STB.  I wasn't able to find an indoor antenna input for the STB.

Anyone else have this model and using an indoor antenna with it?

Kevin Arnold

I looked up the explorer on Scientific Atlanta's site and found this:

Go Digital!
All you need is an Explorer digital set-top box and remote from your cable provider. You won't need to buy additional phone lines, extra equipment for each TV, or clunky equipment to mount on your house, either. Check with your cable provider to see if they offer digital cable and advanced interactive services in your area.

Since they don't want you to mount "clunky" equipment on you house I take it that means an antenna. Never heard of the brand name Clunky though. Must be a knock off of Channel Master.

I'm in Cedarburg and get nothing.  Of course, my antenna points south...

Since my HD STB doesn't support an indoor antenna, I'm not able to test the channel

Also, I emailed the GM of UPN32, and have yet to hear a reply.

I'll keep you posted.
