I am posting in this forum because I think I have an issue with DirecTv conflicting with living in zip code 53150.  For years I have watched Bucks and Brewers on DirecTv FSWI.  This year I have been watching a lot of baseball on 669-1 and saw a few of the basket ball games but tonight and last week they blocked out a game that was listed in the guide and it is listed in the Milwaukee Journal as on FSWI without blackout.

Has any one been able to watch the Bucks tonight on 669-1?  Tech support claims that my area should get Chicago Comcast Sports and Fox Sports North.  When I tune 665 or 668 I can in fact see the Blackhawks and some MN news show about Vikings and Timberwolves.  The fact that these Chgo and Mnpls stations come in when I'm not getting Milwaukee is crazy.  I tried to reason with Tech Support and rubbing salt in the wound they instead removed 669-1 from my guide.  What is so messed up that they think I need two adjacent markets instead of my own metro?  I can in fact still see 669 on my standard def directivo and that unit cannot see the MN station 668.

Do cable subscribers SW of Milwaukee have any problem?  I want to watch Milwaukee.

53150 is Muskego, right? If so, there is no way you shouldn't be getting the Milwaukee channels.   I don't have Directv but they've definately got something screwed up in their computer. If you can't get FSN WI where you are, then neither should people in Waukesha, since they are just as far from Milwaukee as you are.  Good luck with the digital giant.

Check your Directv set up particularly the dish size/type. I had the same problem with Brewer games and they finally had me check the dish size/type and it has been OK ever since I made the correction.

:) Wow!
After several calls to DTV a tech finally realized the receiver was set to Slimline-5 when the dish is really Slimline-3.  The newer Dish wants to pull this channel on a new satellite but the older dish would have tried to pull it on the old satellite location and hence the default screen instead of the Bucks game.

Thanks Perryzak for pointing out the set-up issue.

If you live in the Milwaukee area and have a zipcode that starts with 531XX, then you are technically in the cubs and white sox home market, the blackhawks home market, and the minnesota wild home market.  I live in 53186, and if my neighbors just a few houses north of me have a zipcode that is 53072, and they only get FSN north (668) and FSN wisconsin as a part time channel (669-1).

I believe the way it works is both you and I should get FSN North (minnesota) and CSN chicago (665) as full time HD channels.  However during timberwolves, twins, or bulls games they will be blacked out.  Then, when there are HD games on FSN-Wisconsin, 669-1 is supposed to activate.  I would say this happens 80% of the time.  From what I can tell some intern is in charge of flipping a switch during games.  It is pretty good during brewers games but horrible and always misses during things like PAC-10 football games on saturday nights.  The guide will indicate it is on 669-1 but it will just show a driectv logo.  Usually however you can watch the same thing on 665 or 668.

An even more annoying thing is the "intern" must be programmed sometimes, as if a game on 669-1 goes into extra innings or overtime and runs past any postgame show, it will shut off on you.

For years I've heard directv is going to add FSN wisconsin as a full time channel, but it doesn't seem to be in the cards.
