I pay $38.95/mo for the road runner standard, which is the 7mb down/512kb up.  With tax the total is $41.13.  I too have to call every year and get transferred to the retention department to get the above price, otherwise I think it resets to ~$55/mo.  Bottom line is you should have no problem getting 7mb road runner for under $40/mo, if you just spend 10-20 min on the phone with their customer service department.  Good luck.

I don't see why anyone would go with Time Warner these days. They aren't being competitive at all. They better roll out their 'Wideband' soon or they're going to lose all their customers to AT&T.

Just checked and Uverse is not available in my area... Wauwatosa...middle of the city....8 blocks from a CO....hmmmm

TW doesn't need DOCSIS 3.0 to achieve 24mbps. Their Powerboost can go over 30mbps.

Some of the cable operators in areas with strong competitions are offer 25/2 without using DOCSIS 3.0.

I don't get as good a deal as Ralph, but close.  Their intro special for 7Mbps internet is $34.95, and if you keep asking year after year, they will keep renewing it.

I've been at that price for years.  I just need to remember to call every January to renew it.  I can regularly pull 14Mbps from it.  And I only have internet - no tv, phone or anything else they bundle.

Mine is bundled together as a package bundle, so the only fee I see is for the extra boxes, additional options and the Road Runner Turbo @15Mbps for $9.95 extra, but I am sure once the "special" is over with, it will go up and un-bundle itself price-wise.
Where I live now, I have frequent RRunner outages, so all I can hope for is service at any speed. Before, in Kenosha, I had little or no outages at all.:(
