Missing channels on ClearQAM tuners

All:

I just picked up a dual-tuner HDHomeRun last week (thank you, woot!), and I finally got around to configuring it today.  When scanning for channels in the HDHR setup tool, it's not finding all of the channels I would expect.  It's missing channels 12.x, 58.x, 10.x, and 36.x.  The channels it does find are coming in nicely.

This could very well be due to signal strength issues, as the signal is passing through 2 passive splitters before getting to the HDHR inputs, but I want to make sure before I head down that path.  Is this a common symptom for ClearQAM tuners when signal strength is low?

Thanks in advance,
Rob

It might just be my tuner from what I've seen (4 and 6 also have some issues), but I am unable to tune in 10.x or 36.x. It's been like this for months. Previously I could get everything fine. :/

What do you mean by "ClearQAM tuners"?

Are using OTA or trying get unscrambled channels from your cable?

From my location, I have no trouble get all the OTA channels from Milwaukee.

Clear QAM is what Time Warner uses for sending unencrypted digital TV signals over their system.  It can be tuned without a converter on many digital tuners.

I just checked and I am receiving all Clear QAM normally, including 10.1 and 36.1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 5, 6, 7, 8 on Time Warner cable.

Well after that posting, I found that late on Friday evening and most of the day Saturday 21 Aug I had trouble with QAM again.  It was the same on both my DTVs and a DVD recorder, so it looks like it was Time Warner's problem.

Although I was getting all of the QAM 10, 12, 18, 24, 36 and 55 as normal, at various times I was getting 4-1, 2, 3 and 6-1, 2 on QAM channel 83 subchannels.

58-1, 2, 3, 4 channels had disappeared from the saved channels but I could still choose them manually using the remote keypad.  This was only on Saturday night.

Seems to me they never dropped the video but something must have gotten screwed up in the PSIP that made them lose the channels.

Same here. The HD 4.1 and 6.1 are no longer there for me, even after a scan. Annoying.

Mine are all back to normal, without re-scanning.

There is a lot about how these tuner/computers work that I do not understand.  Remembering the days of the mechanical clunkers, when we used to buy tuner cleaner by the case, and houses full of smokers were our best customers.
