Have a 58 inch Samsung plasma, I think picture is great, Blueray unbelievable. Question is how much and who can calibrate a plasma, Not Bestbuy. Looking for a local; How much should it cost and is it worth it. Thanks

I have found nothing local.  Accucal (http://www.accucalhd.com/) lists Wisconsin as being on the October tour.

I had Chad Billheimer do my Panny a couple of years ago, and he did a fantastic job.  He's highly recommended on the AVS Forums and he does make it through Wisconsin every few months.

If I recal correctly it was around $300 and it was worth it to me.  There was a noticeable improvement in picture quality, colors popped more and more detail in the darker areas (much less black crush).  I would say there was a 30-40% improvement overall.  Plus all of the settings were "hard coded" to my "Cinema Mode" so you can't accidentally lose them.

It may not be worth $300 for some, but it was for me and I will definitely have it done again when I get a new display in a couple of years.

I had my Mits RPTV professionally calibrated years ago. For me it was well worth the investment. I noticed a huge change in color, greyscale, and geometry (yes geometry....new fixed pixel flat panels do not have these issues)

Now I have not had my Panny done, but because I dont want to, or dont think it's worth it. Mostly due to the terrible economy and less discretionary income
