Oh WISN, When Are You Going HD?

I totally agree news is news, I've been a big fan on WTMJ for a long time but I've seen it slip over the years.  Nothing and I mean nothing is worst then Fox 6 and it's American Idol every 5 minute update newscast.  That station is about as full of filler as a hot dog.  IMHO good news(not great) and a good quality picture, you have to go with WTMJ.

Quote from: AndrewP;54615I don't really see any difference in reporting of local news, I can't see how WISN is better, just can't see it. I can see difference in Fox News and MSNBC, but WTMJ, WISN, WITI?
Common...
That is why my vote is for best picture:rock:

"Judging" newscasts is obviously very subjective.  Personally I think WTMJ's quality went way down and was a reason Gousha left.

It looks like WISN has slightly changed their graphics, yet they still dont look like they're in HD. The "NEW AT ..." box is now a rectangle and they now have a red box behind the LIVE bug.

And even after this, it still seems as if Milwaukee's #1 station is no closer to going HD than they were a year ago.

Take a look at what CBS58 has been uploading to their Weather Facebook page:

Sure look like 16:9 graphics to me! Likely a side effect from needing to upgrade the warning ticker to HD, but still signs of progress!

That's odd. None of the other Hearst stations using the HD version of these graphics have a box behind their live bug. :/

Hmm, does anyone think this could be a sign of CBS 58 going 16x9 SD in the near future? I can't see them being close to going HD, especially before WISN.
