I posted this about a year ago.  My parents own a 46 inch Samsung LCD, the exact model # escapes me.  They have had problems where the picture appears to be broken where the sound is on but no picture.  At first we thought it was an HDMI or cable box problem, they had one of the oldest SA 8300.  I think the TV needs to be repaired.  It was bought back in 2007, so i believe all warranties are out.  It was bought online, does anyone know of any Samsung dealers in the Milwaukee area?

Wow, I looked up a bunch of Milwaukee and Waukesha zip codes on Samsung's service locator and they all point to http://hscmidwest.com/index.html.  

There is another shop in Green Bay.  

For Madison, it comes up with an outfit in Phoenix AZ.  Hard to believe there's not a locally-based factory-authorized carry-in shop.

Me: Thanks for your help. Please tell your service contract management people that they need to get somebody closer with a carry-in shop ..."

Sound with no picture sounds like the back light is out. If that is true it might be very expensive to repair.

Someone else here mentioned Emergency TV Service was pretty fair.

Take it to Lancer TV in South Milwaukee.  One of the best in town.

I know some former Flanner clients that have gone there.
