I have been wondering this for a while.  I currently own the Tivo Series 3 as I have mentioned in past posts.  If i bought a second Tivo, is it true that the DVRs can work like Uverse where if I record a show on one, I can watch it on the other?

That's the way it is supposed to work.

Unfortunately, in my experience with the TiVo HD, something funky goes on with the tuning adapter that we have to use with Time Warner. Although you can see the second TiVo in the Now Playing list, and even though there are programs recorded on the second TiVo, the first TiVo says there are no programs on the second TiVo.

You may not remember loadstar but I canceled cable TV from TWC and only have Road runner.  Do you think that problem occurs due to the tuning adaptor only?  I would hope that two Tivos would work together OTA, but not sure.

Yes, it is likely a bug with the TiVo software specifically connected to the tuning adapter. Without it, you should be fine to do multi-room transfers.
