All Brewers FSNWI telecasts in HD in 2010

No offense to FSN, and I hope this really happens, but I seem to remember the same being reported last year in late '08/early '09, only to have it reduced to 95 games.  Looking back, I found a dead link to the WI SJ site where they mentioned this in Nov. '08...

From the 3rd paragraph:

"FSN previously announced that over the next year its 16 regional sports networks plan to produce more than 1,600 live HD telecasts of NBA, MLB and NHL games. That includes every FSN baseball telecast next season, including all Milwaukee Brewers games on FSN Wisconsin"

(emphasis mine)

...so, I'll believe it when I see it

It also doesn't mean all carriers will carry them in HD.  I know there were MANY instances last season where I know the game was in HD on DirectV and TWC but not Dish.  When I questioned Dish about this they claimed it was the network, not them.

Either way, FSWisconsin still seems like a facade over FS North for placating the Wisconsinites.

Yep, FSNWI is still FSNN which is really still MSC.

It isn't an issue for TWC/Charter but for the sat providers (not sure about uverse) it can cause problems.

It's about time. Last year the Reds and Pirates had more games in HD than the Brewers did.

Does anyone know if the Brewers still have a deal with WMLW? I hope not. I would rather listen to the radio than watch a game on that terrible SD broadcast.

Yes, the deal with WMLW still stands.  I believe that there will be 15 games broadcast on WMLW for the 2010 season.  Oh well, that'll give me a chance to listen to those games on the radio and do something else.

I agree... I will believe it when I see it.  My kids and I really enjoy watching the Brewers, and I was disappointed to see so many SD games last year on.

I too hope FSWI keeps up their end of the deal this year but I wont hold my breath either.  To their defense setting up an HD truck sometimes for everygame not just each series is a mind boggling task when you've never seen it before, and sometimes sh*t happens.

But fear not, 2011 means our own HD cameras among other things...
