Yikes... may have to consider Dish? :(

These price increases aren't so bad, in my opinion. Nothing close to a level where I'd want to leave DirecTV for Dish or TimeWarner.

I second that. I had DirecTV, switched to Dish, and recently considered going back to DirecTV to receive MLB Network. I did a close price comparison and determined DirecTV would be higher in price for a comparable programming package/equipment I have with Dish. And, that was before DirecTV's price increase. I guess it all depends on what programming you want, but I would definitely take a look at Dish. I would still choose DirecTV over cable though.

That is right. Most people assume that Dish is less expensive. Actually in my case DirecTV is. I had Everything pack with 1 HDDVR with Dish. I switched to DirecTV two years ago and my total price for DirecTV everything pack + two HDDVRs appeared to be less then Dish total price for programming and 1 receiver. With intro offer I did even more better then with Dish. I guess if I switch now I will get intro offer drom Dish, but I am not even thinking about it:
1. Dish will increase price in March;
2. DirectTV lunched new satellite to increase HD to 200 channels.
3. I enjoyed Sunday ticket this year more then ever, Packers were good, keep me interesting in other games. Watched Brett playing his best season. I am still his fan, but he is #2 for me now:)
