Channel 12 cuts off HD

Well, I know that I've now seen several instances of HD versions of the same news inserts. I don't know if it's been added since this thread started, or if they always had it and either chose or was unable to use it for whatever reason. In any case, they definitely now have the ability to do the news story plugs in HD.

I did email the WISN GM about the clunky drop to SD to insert local news banners, and received no response. But I noticed that they now seem to be able to do it in HD.
It's still annoying but how about the constant blue bars with WISN logo during SD programming and commercials. Ugly and distracting. One wonders if the WISN GM actually watches in HD.
