I mean, seriously - I'll be surprised if anyone can tell me that A) they know what was scheduled to air before WTMJ preempted it, and B) they were planning to watch it.

NBC really is a wasteland right now. I watch nothing there except Chuck, and that still isn't officially scheduled to return until March.

Good points!

A rerun of Mercy

No, I had no intent of watching it.

That's not really the point, though.  How many people were planning on watching a Time-Life infomercial on music from the '80s?

Let's hope they don't move Chuck to Saturday night.  I wouldn't expect strong ratings for it once it finally returns.

I'm losing all respect for all the decisions WTMJ is pulling lately.

Now they're not even bothering to wait for the network to sign off after the final gun of the Notre Dame game. We get the Charlie Weis interview and just as they get to the most stirring part of the postgame ritual at Notre Dame Stadium, the singing of the alma mater...

They cut it off to an inane 'buy some snake oil heater in a hotel ballroom' ad, followed by two commercials and right to Live at 6 so they can quick get to their infomercial. And of course once again WGBA isn't pulling this crud their older sister station is.

Hey TMJ...if you really need to get to that infomercial really badly, a six-minute news summary can get you to 6:30pm just as well as anything else, and it won't tick off the football fans who would really love to watch their game and postgame activities in full. Still, not doubting that the first 15 minutes of Mercy will once again be pre-empted for Time-Life.

Exactly,

Poor WTMJ is now wasted bandwidth.  I find their news to be good, but insane overkill.  Do you  mean to tell me they have NOTHING else to run besides news and infomercials?  What are they going to do in the mornings and afternoons when football season ends?  MORE news?  Dreadful.
